My teen suffers from extreme social anxiety, made worse during COVID, that in the past caused them to miss school, and avoid potential friendships as well as social activities with others. Thanks to Gateway and Nick’s place, and it’s patient and encouraging staff, my teen now has a friend circle with other teens, does social activities, completed volunteer hours required for high school, is looking for employment and college opportunities, and regularly helps with the center’s public events.
